House Concerts

NOTE: I will not be hosting house concerts in 2015.

One use for my large living room is to host house concerts! So far, I have enjoyed four house concerts with the following artists:

  1. Brian Laidlaw and the Family Trade of Twin Cities, MN. They have played twice.
  2. Beth Wood of Eugene, OR. and David Stoddard of Fergus Falls, MN.
  3. Jerry Ostensoe of Granite Falls, MN.

Why am I hosting house concerts?

I want to be able to bring music from all over the country and state to Granite Falls. So far, I feel the best way to do that is to host talented musicians in my church home. I want to be able to offer up my space for house concerts as more of a listening room environment where you can hear every note and every word of the music. That means, if you like to socialize and meet new people, you can come early for that and stay late, but if you don’t much care for chit chat, you can come right when the music is getting ready to start, get your seat and start listening. For more information about house concerts, click here.

Please note: “Awesome Church/House Concerts” is simply the name Tim and I (Sarina) choose to describe our private parties, in our private home. These parties are NOT a business nor are they a business related activity. They are strictly a hobby for us, and are simply gatherings of our friends and guests to enjoy live acoustic music, fellowship, food and fun. Our concert parties are officially free (or else it might be considered a business), although voluntary contributions (suggested donation range from $5-$20 per person depending on the artist) are accepted at the party on behalf of the artists. 100% of all contributions go directly to the performers. By invitation only.
